117/366 - Undone

"I looked in the window - and I knew in that moment that it was me. Not simply a reflection - but me."

Lesson Learned: The label - "A Jack of all trades and a master of none." - for some is another way of saying "Attention Deficit Disorder" - I finally have come to understand and accept who I am.

Discomfort of a Chaotic Mind

A swirling flurry – thoughts…
Ideas, plans, projects, creations –
One starting – then another – pushing -
shoving - crying for attention - mine.

Since forever - no closure –
Only new – no…
Newer – no newer - no…
Never stopping – only starting - anew

Piling up – the weight ever
Building and crushing…
Wasting time - burning
fuel that won’t hit empty.

The tightness – gripping -
Squeezing feeling in my gut…
Unrelenting – till surrendering to another
Escape of this moment – to another.

Wading through – around –
Over the heaps of undone –
“This one will be different”
Escapades that litter my journey.

MoMac Love the lesson and I think it should have been applied to me as a child and even now LOL No shame in accepting our limits , you can be even happier than some with many titles and qualifications under their belt.
Love the photograph.

EvaLizette (((DAN)))
Its hard to have to accepting our limits but it should never be a shame.
I`m fighting with something similar right now and it cost ...a lot to say .I can't do it.

Love the post Dan :)

Annbramwell 'Variety is the spice of life' I would much rather dabble in countless different things then be restricted to one thing day in day out... so being a Jack of all trades is not a bad thing...
Annbramwell · 2012-04-26: 09:56
CHOSSID Probably most of us, to some degree or another!
CHOSSID · 2012-04-26: 10:17
Ryana Somewhere I have ever read ... do not know where ... A mind that is "too organized" just like a desk that is "too nice" belongs to a person who has thing to hide, things that the outside world may not know of.
So my dear friend, I for one am so delighted with your Chaotic Mind.
Words and shot, it all makes perfect sense.
Ryana · 2012-04-26: 12:31
digitalideas Great finding, and ways to illustrate image with the lesson

Eiram Dan, promise to clean up your room over the weekend!

My boss has ADD, I have been working for him for 7 years ...the best boss I ever had:)
Eiram · 2012-04-26: 16:54
Dropblue Precious lesson!!! We must learn the truth about who we really are.
Dropblue · 2012-04-26: 17:29
lookagain What's wrong with being a "jack of all trades?" That's infinitely more interesting than someone who has been a work horse all their life, plodding along completing task after task of the same boring variety. Besides, in the final analysis what matters is not what you finish or accumulate but what's in your heart...and who you are as a human being. Hope you really have learned to appreciate Dan, Dan....so no more will you be wasting time worrying about wasting time ;))

jennyLit great shot! it is soooooo you!
jennyLit · 2012-04-26: 18:39
paintbox Maybe I interpreted the lesson wrong. Don't be so hard on yourself. Sometimes it's hard to just focus. Beautiful old typewriter!
paintbox · 2012-04-26: 20:19
DancingDolphin Isn't getting 'old' wonderful... so nice to accept ourselves... great post, Dan!
DancingDolphin · 2012-04-26: 22:13
liveandletlive Boy can I relate. I have learned to work around my ADHD. And, because of a long illness requiring powerful pain killers, I know I wouldn't want to be without it. I don't feel like me when I'm not bouncing around from one thing to another.
liveandletlive · 2012-04-26: 22:28
NellyBly You underrate yourself Dan..why is that? Accept who we are and I'm glad you think you have found yourself..God loves you just as you is :-))) and so do I..
NellyBly · 2012-04-26: 23:09
joycephotography that lesson also has my name all over it............
joycephotography · 2012-04-27: 00:21
djnana A very complex shot and sentiment, Dan. All of us have our limits, yet all of us have found a place to land and express ourselves on PB!
djnana · 2012-04-27: 17:45
nynkeb In my favs. A wonderful post!! I know quite a few fantastic people who fit in your description perfectly. Even though it can be complicated like this, when accepted it is an amazing gift!!!
nynkeb · 2012-04-28: 02:27
equivalence I think my desk looks like this; I wonder about ADD and all the other symptomologies, who said our minds have to conform to particular ways of thinking or managing
