Girl's night out
2008.02.23
Photo 54/366: I know this photo isn't fabulous, but it was a candid shot of my mom leaning over my bed, taken spur-of-the-moment, and I love it, even though it's not (for lack of a better term) fancy. It represents the day perfectly.

Mom and I rented Across the Universe last night (which was ahh-mazing), and we also bought that new Orville Redenbacher's Natural popcorn in garlic-flavor. I didn't know that we bought mini-bags, but once they popped they were just too darn cute not to photo!
(The popcorn isn't garlic-y enough for me [the self-proclaimed Queen of Garlic Powder], but it has the perfect amount of butter and salt. Must remember to try the cracked pepper next time.)

Mom came up on campus and spent the night. I had so much fun! We went shopping at a local publisher's-overstock bookstore, craft stores, an amazing bead/jewelery store, ate at a Chinese buffet, and laughed so much. I'm going home in four days for spring break, but it was so nice for mom to come up, anyway.
Today mom left, but we still went shopping. She bought me some nice shirts (which are going to be photo 55) at Kohl's and a few snacks to hold me over until Thursday. And, for lunch, we ate at the Chinese buffet. I'm so full, it is definitely a sin, but I'm still happy.
