This was shot at Kampung Lorong Buangkok, the last surviving kampung ('village' in Malay) in the transformed urban landscape of Singapore.

The kampung appeared messy and run-down. to a city-dweller like myself, but the residents there found peace, serenity and a place to call home. Their life's a lot simpler and orderly, despite appearances.
