"Medea y su hombre Jasón, en la obra de Passolini son un referente de un tipo de pareja en particular. Los planos en que el cuerpo relajado de Jasón se exhibe después de los encuentros amorosos, es consecuente con la mirada de una mujer que ama y desea a su hombre y esto se ratifica la cuando la obra deconstruye el imaginario de hombre de guerra que puede tenerse desde la historia y literatura y la figura de un hombre apuesto que también es un sujeto sexual conciente de su atractivo; las mujeres de la corte de Pelias, con quienes Jasón flirtea aún en la presencia del rey o la misma Glauca, que joven y bonita como la presenta Pasolini, no se pueden sustraer de la facinación ante un hombre bello. De este modo, el imaginario del hombre seducido por la mujer y sus encantos que abunda en muchas obras, se diluye en una serie de secuencias que lo muestran como un sugestivo seductor pretendido por las mujeres."
