The rock

Le Marche is my favourite region in Italy.

Offida has a beautiful historic centre, but probably the most stunning building in town is the Church of Santa Maria della Rocca, dating from the 14th century. Perched on its rock outcrop, the views surrounding the town are fabulous, but just as stunning is the view of the church itself from the valley below.

Also in the town, housed in the basement of what I believe used to be a monestary, is the provincial "enoteca", displaying and selling every wine from the Ascoli Piceno area! It's great.
