Holy Island

Day 2 of my road trip - still posting while I can get internet access.

Today I travelled up through Northumbria via Bamburgh Castle (future post because it is spectacular), then the Holy Island of Lindisfarne which is connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway which is only passable at low tide and into Scotland by way of St. Abbs Head (also a future post because the cliffs there are amazing).

The picture today is of the castle on Lindisfarne in the "fret" or sea mist.

Fingers crossed for continued access tomorrow.
