This is one of the old alleyways in Hampstead. 250 years ago Hampstead village was the haunt of infamous highwaymen who regularly held up coaches crossing Hampstead Heath. Now it's one of the most expensive and fashionable London suburbs.

There is a pub round the corner from here called the Spaniard's Inn allegedly haunted by the ghost of an 18th century money lender called "Black Dick", but when I searched on google to find out more information I quickly gave up!!
