We stopped in the town of Springbok in South Africa to buy some food for the last couple of days of camping and were faced with the human problems of alcohol and drug abuse which are serious issues. All along the street local kids had painted these grafitti murals as part of a community campaign aginst these problems.

burbulz because of vivid colors and contrastingly naive words those pictures on the wall look suggestive (I remember #1 - saw it on jpgmag). but I don't believe someone has ever stopped to use alcohol just because of graffiti.

have you ever done any graffiti?

KerBear Wow - these are great!! It's sad that they exist because of the problem... but it's a great way to communicate the issue to the people it is obviously most effecting (youth). Thanks for sharing these...

redro It's a strange combination of joyful colours and sombre messages. I like the presentation of the 4 segments together, the last one piece is even more interesting because of the detail of the fence.
