Your shot is definitely "higher and cleaner" than mine! I like it a lot. It's so melancholic..and a bit "from a different era"... I can see a shadow of a smile behind his hand, but it's even better when you don't know "the story" of what he's watching. I like that you included the street lamp and that slice of brick work in the comp, it adds a lot. And most of all I like the placement of the person right in the center without any hesitation. A straightforward effective shot.

Nice. Interesting how his black clothing make him 'disappear' into the background except for his face and hands.... I bet this would be another very good shot zoomed in on him.

Very well seen, this is a picture that really draws attention. I wouldn't zoom in on him, its perfect as it is. I agree with Redro's good comment.
