Icons - Flat Iron

2009.08.24

Going through old pictures I came across a bunch of pictures of buildings which I think are architectural icons so I thought I would have a few days of posts on that theme.

Remember this is just my view, but my first one is The Flat Iron building in NYC. I have loved this building since before I ever saw it in person through the maginificent image of Edward Steichen taken in 1904 - so I guess this is my homage to his magnificence and the building's.

I know this building; it's so beautiful and unique.
Your version looks great, especially in those colours and Steichen's photo is gorgeous, it looks like a painting.
Looking forward to seeing more unusual buildings
