I love lighthouses and after seeing a couple of pictures of lighthouses on the other side of the world on PB yesterday I thought I'd post a picture of one of my favourites.

This is the lighthouse at Beachy Head on the south coast of England. While it is spectacular and the cliffs rising above it are dramatic, it has also become notorious as a place where people commit suicide... seems like every silver lining has a cloud.

I adore it! GREAT photo. So glad you posted it. The place to commit suicide here is to jump off the Astoria-Megler bridge. You would certainly die even if you hit the water, but no one ever does. ????? · 2010-03-29: 20:05
