Raiding the archives for something to post. I took this many years ago on my first trip to New York. Overall I'm not a great fan of FLW but there is something about this building that just works.. and I quite like the way it translates to black and white.

liveandletlive It's excellent! Wouldn't be the same without those tree branches dangling from the top. Always love your composition.

DancingDolphin I have conflicting emotions on this building. It IS great to look at from the outside and I like your b/w version... nice strong graphic feel. On the flip side I really dislike going around and around on the inside looking only in the same direction. I find it distracting from the art ... too forced to acknowledge the building.

revenant Not an FLW fan? You and all the owners of his houses (apparently their roofs all leak). There's a fascinating novel about him called Three Women (author's name escapes me).

So, what's your No. 1 favourite building in NY?

longimanus awww, you cant hide your intention from me... you just want us to spend half night checking through your 1110 (!) posts to find out what your first fav buildings are ;) well it would be an amazing journey though, but maybe not necessary: I remember a post of yours of the `flat iron`, you didnt mention the favourite word though, but the way you wrote about it allows me to guess thats your fav in nyc :) ps. I`ve got one of guggenheim too, but too ashamed to post it after having seen yours ;(
