In-spiring....

Salisbury Cathedral has the tallest spire in England at just over 400ft tall.

The little hotel we stayed in was across the water-meadows from the cathedral and as soon as I saw where we were it reminded me of the painting by John Constable in the National Gallery... we were close by where he painted his view :-)

By the way, this was the same day as yesterday's post - just a few hours later and less than 20 miles away! Told you we were having weird weather at the moment!

DancingDolphin My first ever look at Salisbury Cathedral was driving in to town at night with the lights on the building. We pulled in to the park area surrounding the building and just sat there looking at it... absolutely gorgeous then and now in your photo! So CLASSICALLY English!
