Taken on Monday evening strolling around South Ken before I went into the exhibition at the Natural History Museum of this year's Wildlife Photographer of the Year competion.

If you are at all interested in wildlife and landscape photography and are close(ish) to London I would highly recommend it - mind you I think it will be touring the world (last year's was apparently seen by 4 million people worldwide).

The Albert Hall... as a young girl I sang in a choir there! I loved the bunny hutches where we changed in the basement...also the gods where as young girls we played chase! You could run full circle. We had our picnics in Kensington Gardens opposite.... I was 10 years old...1954! Thank you for a childhood memory ... I shall tell my sister to have a peek... she danced as a 4 year old at the same time as I sang! We were in something called "Tulips from Amsterdam" as members of the Girls Life Brigade which held its annual rally at the Albert Hall. marilynx · 2011-11-03: 15:02

I am Marilyn's sister and yes I to performed at the Albert Hall I would have been almost 5 years of age and was dressed as a Dutch Boy, I can still remember it vividly, it was an amazing experience. These are great and they bring back happy memories. No.3 shows pretty much the view I had from my bedroom window for two years while I lived in a student hostel in Bremner Road and I used to go to the RCM on Monday's for baroque orchestra.
