This is the chapel of St Peter-on-the-Wall, just outside Bradwell-on-Sea in Essex. It was built on the site of a Roman fort in 654AD and is one of the very oldest churches in the country.
It stands at the end of a lane now with only the estuary of the Blackwater River and the sea beyond.
I think its simple beauty is wonderful.
