Happy Days

2008.07.19
Ava doing a 'log roll' at gymnastics.

After gymnastics she got Leo from 'The Little Einsteins'. This was her bribe for finishing gymastics today! She was so proud of him. Doesn't she look like a proud mommy?

Posing with Leo in the stroller. I was laughing while taking this picture, which is why it's kind of blurry.

Leo had to go potty. Isn't he a big boy!

She specified that she wanted a picture of just Leo on the potty.

Wiping Leo.

She was trying to move out of the picture b/c she just wanted a picture of Leo by himself!!

All the guys at dinner at Brio. Phillip, Stewart (the newlywed!), David, my Bryan, and Bryan C.

The whole group! Allison, Phillip, Stewart, David, Bryan, Bryan, Mallory (b'day girl!), Me, and Maretta.

Bryan and the b'day girl, Mallory!

At Twist and Shout!

SWim class. Bryan was trying to talk to Ava about how to jump in the water.

Reaching for Mommy's toes!! She thought this was funny!

Pat, the instructor. He spent about 5 minutes today going around and squirting water on all the kids w/ a noodle. He can probably tell they get burned out quickly!

Getting water up her nose! It's not funny, Daddy!!

She loves her daddy.

As the summer comes to a close, I am sad that school is starting back, but I also realize that I have so much to be thankful for. I have a beautiful, healthy daughter, a wonderful husband, a great family, and amazing friends! This summer has been so fun, but I love my life and I do love my job. So, I don't have much to complain about! This past week has been full of fun times with family and friends. I've been amazed at my little one every day. She cracks me up with her Einstein friends. She likes to take them on stroller walks, to the potty, and even lets them have sleepovers with each other! how cute!
We also had a lot of fun on Thursday night at Mallory's 29th birthday dinner! It was so good to hang out with everyone at Brio. Afterwards we went to Twist and Shout to see what it was like. We quickly realized that we were some of the oldest people there!! How sad! It was fun, and of course, they had cornhole. But, we all played and found out that Allison is amazing at cornhole!!!
Ava has had gymnastics and swim class this week, which were both eventful! Gymnastics is just not that fun for her! She would rather run around and talk to everyone that do the things the coaches are asking her to do. I have found that bribery works really well to get us through the class. I hate to do that, but it was $140 for that class!
Swim class has been fairly fun. She didn't do as great today as the last time, but she's definitely not afraid of the water. Bryan got in with her. He did really well and had a lot of patience!!! :)
Out of all the classes she's had this summer, her favorite is the one that was free!!! She absolutely LOVES Toddler Tales and talks about her 'teacher' there all the time. She sings the songs, and listens so well when Ms. Kristy reads the stories. I'm so glad we discovered the library!
