Buck joined us on Friday from the pound. I must say that I had never been to a pound before and found it surprisingly very very clean but noisy! It was sad to see so many dogs there as you can imagine. They had just raided a house that had over 40 dogs on it, so they were getting ready to be very very busy. I also did not know that it costs about $85.00 to adopt a dog from the pound. That must offset the cost of food and Vet services as well as personnel. I thought it was a bit high.........but what do I know.
Buck is a Border Collie mix and we do not know what the MIX is. So we are in for a surprise. He has shown to be a smart puppie and has already mastered the command SIT! He has slept through the night from the beginning, which is a shock to me. We are working on potty training and so far it has been good.
One thing I never wanted to do is adopt another puppie, but now I accept that challange! I will let you know if I survived!
