moon

2008.11.09

A couple nights ago (when it was still warm enough to walk outside at night) I took a bunch of long-exposure shots of the moon from our porch. This is as close as my telephoto lens can get - you can make out some craters in the clearer second shot.

I'm not a pro of long exposure tricks just yet, so you'll see some colored spots in these as well that I didn't expect - probably void pixels or something, I left the shutter open for almost 40 seconds with some of the other shots.

It definitely got me hooked on shooting long distances, so there's probably a giant telephoto lens purchase on the way in the near future.
