Chinese New Year Day 7

2007.02.24

According to the Chinese tradition, the 7th day of Chinese New Year is called "Human's Day". So the Chinese Hakka will prepare a kind of vegetarian dish named "Lui Cha", it's a kind of Chinese tradition food where 7 kind of different vegetables mixed together with rice.

#1 & #2, overall view of the dishes.

#3, long beans

#4, a kind of vegetable with bitter taste

#5, dried salted white carrot

#6, cangkuk manis

#7, chives

#8, tofu

#9, herbal soup with ground peanuts

#10, another view of the dishes

#11, the mixed vegetables served in a bowl for one pax.

#12 & #13, my family members enjoying the dishes.

#14 - #20, later that day evening, I invited some of my close friends to my place for "home-cook" buffet dinner.

Just sharing my another day. Happy viewing!

Venkat days are running, esp. during the festive times... thx for sharing your feasting moments with us!

{ one small tip, if you would want a better 'you' and the 'world' : try to avoid carbonated drinks... as they are health and eco hazardous! }
