Well yesterday was a bad day, my hostel went blackout for more than 5 hours then when the current was available the internet connection has problem to log on.
Then comes today where my university was inviting all the students and staffs to their own Chinese New Year open house. It started after 4 pm when I just finished my class. Actually I was thinking going back to hostel but eventually didn't because of the attractions of the events.
#1, the main entrance of the university.
#2, the BIG red invitation card.
#3, the phoenix steel structure located at the main entrance. Below was filled with mandarin oranges.
#4, staff and crewmember preparing the firecrackers.
#5, the view of the university's plaza where the event was being held.
#6, staff photographer and some enthusiasts lining up in front of the invited lion dance, including me!
#7, provided dinner. I didn't eat much because I was busying taking pictures throughout the time. Feel a bit hungry when I'm typing these words. Haha.
#8, a Malay singer performing a nice song, she has a powerful voice.
#9, Indonesian dance, very interesting to watch.
#10, Dikir Barat, a traditional Malay musical where the performer sang and clapped their hands.
#11, Peacock dance, performed by an Indian male dancer. I love watching the way he immitated the way a peacock dance.
#12, a Chinese lady sharing her voice with the crowds. Her vocal is great.
#13, this is the main attraction, a sexy bellydancer. The way she moves attracted a huge crowd in front of the stage.
#14, one of the performer from the mix-culture (Malay, Chinese and Indian) musical team.
#15, international students in the Chinese "Thunder" drum beating show.

All the performers are from the university's very own local or international students except for the lion dance and dragon dance team. This post is just the highlighted show, the details will come after this.
