Now that's a sand trap!! (And that's gorse/furze on the knoll, a spiny evergreen shrub, native to Europe - and this is the only US course that features this thorny nemesis!)

This morning we played golf along the ocean at a course called Pacific Dunes in Bandon, Oregon. It's an all-walking (6 miles) links-type course that was built in the style of the old Scottish courses. I shot a 50 on the front 9, but a 39 on the back 9 (4 over par), after I began to trust my "looper" (caddy) more. I carried my little PowerShot camera, so I would hit the ball, then take a photo! It was so picturesque, I couldn't help myself!!

Haha.. I can imagine you doing that.. Very beautiful views. Who could resist taking photos even if while playing golf as well?

nice set of photos. glad you are enjoying yourselves and the weather is behaving for you. it is not unusual for cool and wet around here :) told you that you'd find something to photograph :) in Bandon and a fine job you are doing, I might add
