BRANSON - The Heart of the Heartland

2010.07.05
pixel
This typifies what Branson is all about
pixel
It's called "The longest parking lot in the world" - a 3-mile steady flow of traffic that barely moves, yet no one honks a horn or gets rude. Instead they allow side traffic out in front of them!
pixel
All the theatres have beautiful landscaping that begs to be photographed!
pixel
Besides top musical artists, there are always fun shows for everyone
pixel
"The British Invasion" has brought a Beatles Tribute show by George Harrison's sister and a new Princess Di museum
pixel
Exotic mimosas bloom along the crowded highway
pixel
This scene of rural America is painted on the side of a corrugated metal building that's at least 30x30 feet!
pixel
Miniature golf courses provide beautiful landscaping and lots of family fun
pixel
Summer flowers abound amid the exhausts of cars and motorcycles
pixel
I don't know what this is called, but I'd have to be delirious and tied to this thing to get me up there for a free fall from this 100 foot tower!
pixel
A nice way to cool off after walking "The Strip"!
pixel
And a perfect way to end the day on our deck...
pixel
Branson, Missouri is an all-American town where faith, family and friends is the hallmark. It's where 6 million people a year come to have a great time at over 75 live music shows and enjoy the natural Ozarks scenery.
I keep telling myself that I'm only going to post a single shot a day, then I go for a walk and come back with bunches of photos I want to share with you from a walk down "The 76 Strip". Here's our Branson that we dearly love!

lgnelson You only posted 12 shots? I know you took hundreds yesterday while we were walking the "strip!" Great shots that typify Branson - lots of fun entertainment and sights in a family package!

girafferacing What a great place. We have the equivalent of that busy road in the M25 orbital motorway which circles London. That's also often called the largest car park in the world!!
girafferacing · 2010-07-05: 02:09

DancingDolphin Whoa, that's a lot of traffic! I'm thinking people who complain about Los Angeles might want to give your town a test drive! :-)
