Thorncrown Chapel was designed by famed architect E. Fay Jones and it has all glass walls and ceiling.

The lighting was terrible when we were there to take shots, but you can see how small it is - only seats about 100.

Eureka Springs is famous for it's streets of circa 1800-1900 homes, most are now bed-and-breakfasts or businesses

This colorful little "gingerbread" cottage with the stained glass windows boast the marker that it was built in 1883

Eureka is also famous for the largest statue of Christ in the Northern Hemisphere - 70 feet tall and 65 feet wide. You can see how huge it is next to Larry, who was taking a photo. The Christ of the Ozarks overlooks the entire valley and city.

On Saturday, we went to the wedding of Larry's niece in Eureka Springs, Arkansas - a favorite nuptual location because of it's historic homes, it's arts community, and it's gorgeous Ozark Mountain scenery. There were 3 weddings on the same day at Thorncrown Chapel (www.thorncrown.com)! It was really fun to see all of our family and to celebrate with this precious young couple on their wedding day!

Wow, what a lovely wedding and a beautiful couple! Sounds like they have a bright future ahead of them....with lots of love and support! Beautiful photos of them and your family members :))) Have been to Eureka Springs many times... my grandmother grew up there and met my grandfather in the big hotel where he was playing the fiddle in a band. It's a wonderful place....you make me want to go back for a visit!

I'm glad you missed the shot just AFTER that one, where I looked over at Amy (not knowing what she was doing) and almost kissed her due to proximity! Creepy & hilarious! I'm glad you got Dad in the shot of Big Jesus...really gives a good sense of size. Big Jesus was my post for today.
