During our trip to Jamaica, our destination for one of the days was Spanish Town, the old colonial capitol. It once had magnificent Spanish buildings at the core of the city, but now they are mostly abandoned. Every time we told a native that we were taking wheelchairs to Spanish Town, the first thing they said was, "Oh, bad men there!" Actually, everyone we met was nice and friendly to us, but it did make us wonder!
