Got a chance to shoot a fashion show at the paparazzi stand a few months back.
Let me tell you guys, it was my 1st ever runway shoot and I have no idea what I was doing. In addition, having a kit lens of 18-55 didn't give me much room either. I can't take shots closer due to the zoom (psstttt... I heard Canon is coming out with 18-200 that sound's good for a lazy chap like me who rarely like to change lenses).
Anyhow, the runway was great and thanks to a friend I got to sit at the journalist stand where all the other fella were equipped with big big weapons and monopods while I just stood there with a nearly-out-of-battery-flashgun and a camera with a kit lense. I noticed when I took out my gear, nearly all of them were staring at my bag (makes me even shakier!!!). Luckily I saw a familiar face (not my buddies that is - they were busy cheking out the chicas), a cameraman whom I met at wedding last year so cooled down a bit. He was already high and said out loud "I see your camera is not BIG!!" - cilakak ini olang. But the best part out of it is that I got in for FREE yeehawww...
There was an after party at one of the well known discotheque in town and I was dragged into it. I've long set foot in such places since I got my 1st hero because I was bored of it already but since I'm hitching a ride so it was either in or walk (better in I guess). Man did I feel bent that day.
