It's been quite some time since I've last posted something. :)
Anyway, my schedule this Sunday was to make reservations in the Manila Metropolitan Cathedral for my wedding. So much for excitement, the church office closes 11 AM on Sundays! My bad, because I didn't call before visiting..
Frustrated because of the long travel, I decided to drop by the Walled City of Manila--Intramuros.
What's ironic (I should say funny) about Filipinos is, they visit places in other countries before their own. Just like me, I've been to Asia and Australia and yet, I've never realized that I have a competitive place in my own backyard!
I've been living in Manila for almost a decade and bear with me in sharing that was my first time to be in this paradise.
It turned out to be an exciting one! I got to learn more of my country's history by (literally) following the footsteps of Dr. Jose Rizal (Philippines' national hero) before he was executed.
Let me share with you the ineffable feelings I've had in this paradise; with these photos...

Sadly, the "grass is always greener on the other side" mentality is pretty common among us human. I agree with you that often time we don't realize that there's beauty right in our own town. Great set as always.
