Well done Brian, even if not the best shots, better than most of us get to have the opportunity to observe briefly :-)

Nice catch, Brian! Beautiful hawk. I love hawks, eagles, owls etc. I was a nature volunteer for years with birds and cats mostly. I love them. Here in Provence an eagle flied by my side while driving my car silently... Fascinating... on the Alpilles we have aspecial kind of owl, I saw it nights ago...

Brilliant Brian. I saved number 1 as a favourite - because you really caught the moment well. It must have been so exciting.

... a hawk comes to drink at you bird tray ? The only birds we see at our bird tray are pigeons, sparrows and blackbirds. Now I am very jealous ... !!

I missed a chance too to catch a robin by opening the window and the noise made it fly away, so next time I'll do as you did and shoot through the window, only I have a mosquito net too.
