Well, I am excited to say that I got a camera for Christmas, a Nikon D80! His name is Lou. I'm about as green as you can get when it comes to photo, hopefully with practice I'll eventually be good.
So I went to Pennsylvania for Christmas break and just played- I believe all the photos taken on here were taken on the program setting...I'm not too comfortable with manual yet.
I would love it if people could tell me what they think. Any criticism would help; the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I love the geometry in the first one, I only increased the vibrancy a little bit. I was just walking down some railroad tracks when I stumbled upon the second photo. The fourth photo is my personal favorite. :-)

eventhough i am Canon guy, i have to say: congratulation for having Nikon camera .. Nikon no dought is superb gear. eventhough your shots are nice but one can't overlook No. 4 .. it is really beautiful .. i like it very much.
I have a Nikon D80 135mm since a couple of years. I took almost 10 thousand pictures and I am really happy with that "machine". Welcome to the Nikon world!!!
