Pacific War Memorial. Here, every May 6, at noon, an event called Solar Equinox can be seen here where the sun's ray aligns directly to the large marble "altar" underneath the big hole in the dome. May 6 is the day where Corregidor fell in the hands of the Japanese.

Malinta Tunnel is 831 feet long, 24 feet wide and 18 feet high. It used to be a hospital and offices of various government officials during and after the war such as Gen. MacArthur and the Philippine Commonwealth. The name of the tunnel means "Many Leeches" as before it was constructed, leeches are abundant here.

The "tail" of Corregidor. If you will look in the map, the island is like a tadpole.

The world moves, that's why the stars are different.
David and I talked about the possibility of another life form in a different dimension. While I thought about their scientific advancements and technology and a probable invasion, he imagined the "aliens" doing agriculture and some basic things necessary for survival. Haay, Koreans think differently! He's right, how can they progress technologically if they can't eat? I should better consider the basic things first. |

Gee, thanks for the comments! @Freshphoto: My hands are ugly, I think but it created some sort of roughness in the photo which is effective for the mood. @swkotor2: Thanks! The last shot was the most memorable for me. I was so sad that time to leave the beautiful island. @Sueflower: Thanks! @Lovetheners: Thanks! It is me in the number 12!

Hi Margarita! Yes, in the campsite (the one near the beach and pier), there are stalls of bathrooms and comfort rooms for both men and women. These come free of charge. The bathrooms are typically a backpacker type, some of it doesn't have ceilings and as for the comfort rooms, they have ceilings. You can also use the comfort room in the guard station not far from the campsite. It's the typical restroom you can find at malls. For the camping equipment, yes, you have to bring your own tent and sleeping things. The island only provide the campsite and the wonderful night sky. If you are adventurous, you can sleep in the beach huts adjacent to the campsite. Those have a roof and a table and bench. if you have more questions, just feel free to contact me.
