The Dormition and the Assumption are different names for the same event, Mary's departure from the earth, although the beliefs are not entirely the same.

We needed to get to Our Lady of Mercy early today because Stephanie was filling in as reader. I decided to try to take some photos in this dark church using my GorillaPod. I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to compose the shots, so I had to do some cropping in Photoshop.
