Tremont IV

2008.02.18
Looking through a window at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

The house I rented for 5½ years.

This is a color photo (not Accent Color!).

A monument in front of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation honoring Greeks that died in WWII.

Once home to the Olney Art Gallery.

This house could be beautiful, but it has been shrouded in bizarre "artwork" for years. I came across Frank, who is very protective of the house (I think he lives next door). He thought I was from the city, which irritated him since I guess the city broke in and boarded the place up. Everything about this place is very odd.

Odd things in the window of the strange house.

An odd stack of bricks in front of the odd house.

A St. Patrick's day necklace in the bushes in front of the strange house.

A Christmas music box wedged in a tree in front of the strange house.

An equally odd house next door with a strange sign. I think this is where Frank lives...

A pediment on a West 14th Street home.

A footbridge connecting parts of West 11th St. over I-490.

[18 photos] One more trip around Tremont... Today I started at W. 11th and Kenilworth, walked up 11th to Pelton Ct., over to W. 14th, down to Auburn, over to 11th, and through Lincoln Park.
