Matt Giraud, who finished third in last year's American Idol contest, was honored at halftime.

We traveled to Kalamazoo, MI to visit our friends for a couple of days. We left early Saturday morning, stopped in Ann Arbor for some of Zingerman's wonderful coffee and pastries, and arrived in Portage, MI just in time for lunch.
After lunch we headed to a nearby park (see tomorrow's pics).
In the evening Brian and I headed up to Kalamazoo to see Miami University take on Western Michigan in football. It was not a good day for my Miami RedHawks, but at least they scored (something they had not done in their first two games)...
