Steph's parents and uncles had planned to head to Amish Country today, so we took days off and tagged along.
The fun of Amish Country centers around food, furniture, and country-style tchotchke. Since we have all the furniture we need (we did get it from Andrea's in Sugarcreek) and are not into country kitsch, the day was focused on food.
We started at Shearer's Outlet (a local chip company) in Brewster, OH; went to an apple orchard in Walnut Creek; to the Breitenbach winery in Dover; to a bulk food store in Sugarcreek; to an Amish grocery in Walnut Creek; to a farmer's market in Millersburg; and finally to a Amish-style restaurant back in Walnut Creek.
The day is a lot of fun, but by the time you're done you don't really have any interest in eating all the delicious food you just bought! :)
