The son of my mom's business partner starred in the Great Lakes Theater Festival's presentation of the musical comedy, Bat Boy, so Stephanie and I met my parents and their friends, the Smiths, downtown for the Friday evening show. Very funny show!

The Great Lakes Theater Festival was started in Cleveland in 1962 by Arthur Lithgow, father of renowned actor John Lithgow. Tom Hanks performed at GLTF for the three seasons beginning in 1977.
