The stairs leading up from the first floor. The architect modeled them after the steps leading into the grand opera in Paris. Another interesting fact, each of those columns is made from solid granite and weighs 10 tons, or 20,000 pounds.(That's a little over 9,000 kilos for my Europeans friends).

Last week I visited the state's capital for the first time. It was quite interesting and provided for lots of fun behind the camera.
