Tibet and China II
2008.04.18
Hey my friends i m happy to receive so many opinions from you, thanks for taking your time typing them onto the screen and showing them to me. Just too busy to reply them one by one because im working on my thesis ,though I do want to explain them one by one.
I know that the chinese government has not done well on many things. I myself, and many Chines, also dislike them for taht sometimes. This means most chinese are not "brain-washed" although the goverment has once try to. But in an age like ours this is totally impossible as on the internet everybody is able to seek for his truth.
Plz consider our thoughts, we have experienced, we have though about it, and we have discussed and read. We judge it from different aspects plz dont simple look at us thinking we have been "brain washed" so what we say doesnot make sense, this is totally againt the truth.
now again let me quote one of my reply to a friend among you. I really dun have time to write otherwise I can show you bundles of evidence. its 5 am to me now...im in the middle of a university paper i need to finish it before next week cause i will leave for turkey and then egypt next monday..... so stressful...
hey thanks for the opinion my friend,
as u said you did not trust your official media or you would think 'Free Tibet', may i know which country you are from? thanks god there are some country where the media are not against ours cause it seems now all 'main western' media are against ours...
so where did u get the information? if one of the media as you think is not worth being trusted so how did you decide what to trust? on the internet? there are very different voice on the internet, and many photos look all real but seem revealing opposite stories, how did u tell which is real and which is fake? if you heard people's voices, have u heard of voices from the majority of the chinese people(not the government)? so what do you think of that?
actually we all have to admit that as long as we didnot experience it ourselves all we heard ans saw could be fake. Me too! I never quickly run into a news without my own thoughts and I also remain doubts about some details of what my official media wrote.
Buuuuut, we should judge with our knowledge and thoughts, as well as historical facts which at least are not that easy to be fake(still probably but its the last thing we could believe in a world that anything could be fake right?). So the history tell me that Tibet has been a part of China since hundreds of years before. We dont need to go extremes to discuss what way the ancient chinese got Tibet right? in the old times all the nations are different from ours and today most of the countries have been re-arranged during old times. OK. The Tibet continued to be part of china until the early 20th centry when china was being invaded by the british and other countries. Since then they had a temporary leader, who cruelly governed Tibet people with true "slavery". they had landlords who were the influentials and slaves who worked as peasants, who were forced to work hard for food and were punished hard for mistakes. When china army beat all the invaders later and went to Tibet, they actually freed the salves there and ended the cruel slavery society. the landlords were either killed or sent out of the country, as what was usually done after all revolutionaries. The run-away leader at that time, is the guy who is organizing the "Free Tibet" movements recently.
what would happen if tibet were really freed? Do you think the people can get real freedom? they would even starve because of poor economic and industry! because the recent development and modernization of Tibet is all done or funded by the chinese central government. What if the connection is cut off?
Im not sure which island you lived on and who used to govern you, but the chinese government are not doing slavery. Tibet is well developed and the religious belief and cutrual are actually well preserved! that is actually the biggest tourist attraction of Tibet, each year thousands of Chinese travelers, backpackers and photographers go to Tibet for that! to experience the special religious culture, to visit the temples and to see and talk to the monks. Religious belief is free in China! we have running churchs in a lot of big cities, which Chinese Christians visit every sunday. this is the truth. One of my relatives is Christian and she never feel feared of being forced to abandon her belief.
China has its problems, I admit the humanity problems are fierce and there are many many things I, and many other chinese people are against. but isnot it the truth in every countries?? they all have their problems right? the reasons why it seem that China has more are:1. we are experiencing too fast economic development that the balance of every aspects of the society take time to be adjusted. 2.media distortion from the western societies who were, are, and will continue to see China as their enemy,
the last thing, you can see what the "free China" guys have done to try to ask for "freedom", they beat whoever they see on streets and they set fire to cars, schools and houses. Innocent people killed and injured by them are several times more than their own death and injury. do you think they are asking for peace?? what would the society be like if they really got Tibet?
actually that never would happen, considering of there power and the power of the rest of the people. even people who are in Tibet dont like them. And they know about that, they know they would not make it. The reasons why they do this are: 1. they hate the chinese central government for ending their good old days as landlords many years ago. 2.they are used by other people on earth who hate China.
thanks again my friend, for sharing with me you ideas. You ve been misleaded, I just hope you think about it more with a critical mind.
China is really not as what you think. Most chinese people are not only loving the country, but also satisfied with it generally. of course there are problems and myself think the goverment is wrong on many things, but this doesnot mean anything against the "sometimes wrong" government is right. im not sure if i express it enough but I hope you could get it.
peace and love... only if Tibet is in China.
