A Late Morning Walk in Zageb

2007.10.24
The view of the neighbour's balconies from our own little balcony. It seems one of our neighbours is an opera singer; I've heard her practicing.

My bedroom window faces a little park where several regulars walk their dogs. Yesterday morning was quite chilly and this dog owner seemed reluctant to play fetch.

Most of the market is devoted to fruits, vegetables, and flowers. But the tables at this end are filled with used books, knick-knacks, and all manner of trash and treasures.

This is a detail of the building in the photo above. Perhaps this is the patron saint of bargains.

Forms, Wrapped and Unwrapped

Broken Figure, Broken Sinks

The index finger is missing from this giant, green hand. I guess you could say there is no point to this photo.

I went for a walk this morning to get to know the area a little better and to pick up some fruit at the open-air market. On the way home I found a small park with several large sculptures. Around the back of a building was a collection of discarded molds and forms, apparently it was not so much a park as a showcase for the work they do there.

Zvonimir Cool! The opera singer you mentioned is very famous, she is in operette, musicals etc. The sculpture park belongs to the main academy of art. I agree, a wierd place!
