We Had Sunshine Today!

There are many street vendors who sell roasted chestnuts. You get them in a paper cone, about half full for six kunas (just over one Canadian dollar). I realized that although I've been hearing about roasted chestnuts in Christmas songs all my life, I don't remember ever eating any. So I bought some and sat down in a busy square to eat them and people watch. I like them, but they might be better with a bit of salt.

I followed a crowed of people and ended up at a large cathedral. It was undergoing some major restoration to it's exterior.

This woman with a motorcycle balloon seemed a little out of place sitting alone by the fountain in front of the cathedral. The balloon looks like a stunt driver in mid jump.

Today was a holiday here in Zagreb, and there was sunshine after a couple weeks of mostly clouds. I headed out and wandered the streets with my camera.

Great set! Very good takes -composition specially-! Thanks for sharing!
I'm so glad that the sun finally came out for you and that you came out out too with your camera because a lot of these shots are superb, especially #5, 6, 10, 14 &15.
It must have been a great moment, sitting there, on that wonderful place on a sunny day. Thanks for sharing it.
I'm so sheltered.... I'm in awe of what you are seeing.... your photos are so beautiful.... they make me want to see it for myself.... some day when I grow up, maybe...
Zagreb is beautiful! You have a wonderful way of sharing it. Great eye and lovely descriptions! We are in the middle of a big storm here in Nova Scotia. I'm expecting the power to go out. Anyway, I've had a bit of armchair travel thanks to you and now its back to checking to see that the lawnchairs aren't blowing down the street.:)
