Day 302 of 365 - Perfect Mouse

I’ve been using mice since the first days of commercial availability. I’ve probably used a few hundred different models of mice over the years and I’ve now found the perfect mouse. It is the one pictured here and just released by Apple. As you can see it has no buttons. It does click if you push down on the whole mouse. The unique thing is that the entire surface is a touch-pad like you would see on a laptop. This means if you want the right button, you just push down on it with your middle finger, if you want the left button, you push down on it with your index finger. If you want to scroll, just run your finger down the surface. Simply amazing! My one complaint about mice usually have to do with dirt, esp. if they have a roller that they use for either the mouse or a wheel built in for scrolling. This solves those problems, there is nothing to get dirty. It is simple, easy to use and it even looks nice. Of course it’s from Apple, they are just light years ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to simplified design.

So here is to the perfect mouse, it does everything I ask of it and just works with simple elegance.
