Day 311 of 365 - Pain Lessens

Wow, today is the first day in months I have gone without incredibly powerful pain medications. I’m certainly not pain free, but the pain, numbness and burning have been reduced to a level that I can manage without having to depend on medication. I hope this continues, but it sure was nice to go to a movie with my wife and feel almost normal again. I even have some short term memory back and I can concentrate, this for me other than the physical aspects of the pain is the most exciting. I don’t have to read or write the same sentence 5 or 6 times before it sticks, so nice.

To celebrate my step away from pain, we went to the movies today, and even though the movie was a real dud, I sure I had a great time. I took this snap in the lobby of the theater as we were about to leave.

So, here is to all the doctors that got me to this point. I’m not quite sure what’s next, but for right now, this is just fine.
