A hAmmeR, a haMmEr!!! I did that to a mobile phone once, it was a great relief, But with your camera it may be slightly different, since you probably loved it (and I didn't like my mobile) Many blessings to your old camera, I hope it will be replaced by a new one which will be even more loving !

My dad's camera wouldn't start a while back either...took it in to Best Buy Geek Squad, they sent it off and called me with an estimate (which was way cheaper than a brand newer camera) and I got it back in less than a month... It's just like brand new... just a suggestion for you....hope you find a nice headstone for it :( ........(looks closely at the pic....*must be a sony thing*)

I was glad to read Bexxa's comment. It was also my thought to get an estimate for repair. I would be upset if my camera didn't start up.

plz accept my late "condoleances" for your dear old Sony... r.i.p. I could feel how much you miss it. I always took pics with my phone cam - a SE K810i - and yes eidea, I'm very sentimental about it.
