a story worth telling

2008.06.24

these girls hang out in our yard almost every day. i've sneaked up on them with my tele lens and made some voyeur shots of their conversation... i wasn't able to hear what they were talking about, but it must have been a story worth telling.

after a while, some other girls and a boy turned up, and that chased them away... i don't know why.

it's this kind of stuff that keep my mind alive.

Dewey Rahim You like to watch young girls, don't you? Sorry, but this is very creepy.

eidea @"dewey rahim" (what a ridiculous pseudonym):

thanks for pointing out the hidden and mischievous REAL meaning of my blog entries! if not for you, the whole community would not recognize me as a nazi children abductor with bad photography skills and a tendency to boast.

you should get a medal for your most unselfish, sacrificial, sedulous activity on my blog - unfortunately, nobody can send it to you since you're posting anonymous all the time.

Dragana i like this a lot, must have something to do with my voyeuristic inclinations (favorite present I ever got was a pair of binoculars when I lived in the block of flats) but you must admit it is a little bit creepy. In saying this I have a pretty similar series of photographs of children playing outside taken through a roller blinds. Makes it easier these days being a woman.

rmjannette photo voyeurism at its best, i enjoy this series a lot

ClaudePechabaden wHY do you let anonymous comments on your blog? Seems very troublesome! Why giving them the joy to their petty contributions!
Interesting sery. I couldn't shoot such things because I would feel too guilty to intrude. But it is good to see it anyway.

eidea @claude: i allow anonymous comments because i allow any kind of comments. this is a public system, the whole idea is to be wide spread and public, not closed down and exclusive.. my pictures are for everyone... also for those who amuse themselves with hateful or idiotic comments... they don't hurt me at all.

i don't expect everyone to like my stuff, and i personally know there are a few who dislike me and think they are just giving back to whatever they think i've done to them. which is THEIR problem, not mine.

as for the voyeurism of this series, it is only moderate. i wasn't watching anything very private; these girls sat fully in the open and obviously didn't care about being seen. for me it was interesting because the sequence of this 2 minutes or so looks like a story, just by putting the pics together. i have no idea what they were talking about, probably nothing so coherent like a story. it was just idle teenager chat over a cigarette, i presume.

things like this interest me - what makes a story a story. i couldn't care less what they really talked about... :-)
