The Wild around Kalahari Tented Camp

In 1990, 7 giraffe were introduced into the Kgalagadi and kept in a huge boma for 8 years to see if they could get used to the surroundings. It was very successful and know the park has over 40. Two new bulls were recently brought in to bring new blood into the herd.

Look how green everything was. A huge difference from the winter months.

The giraffe look all lovey dovey, but I guess in reality they are beating the crap out of each other...

It almost looks odd seeing the gemsbok in such lush greenery, they are normally photographed on the red sand dunes, but I bet they like it like this a lot more..
