Day 27: Mall of America

2008.07.21
MOA is located in Bloomington, and close to Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. In the morning, we did not have to rush to the mall as it's near to where we stayed.

Well… as I imagined how the largest mall to be, it is a huge mall! Kids definitely were extremely pleased to come to the mall after seeing mountains, rock formations and animals. Heheh.

Of course we did not go to the Aquarium after just visiting Sea World :P

Nickelodeon Universe is right in the center of the mall. This largest indoor theme park in the U.S. that makes this mall really big.

LEGO Imagination Center…

… where Farhan spent some time playing and 'imagining' his dream car.

While Sarah was looking forward to be on the roller-coaster rides.

So, we only planned to purchase ticket only for Sarah.

I think the most thrilling ride here is the Spongebob ride which has steep fall, loop and a bit of cork screws.

Well.. you can't compare this with Six Flags or other amusement parks, which feature more and better thrill rides.

It seems a lot of rides are meant for kiddies.

Sarah was busy reading the map, looking for rides that suited her, and calculating which rides she can take with the points she has.

While she was enjoying her rides, I was going thru the pictures for the blog.

Once, this place was the Metropolitan Baseball Stadium. This is the exact spot of home plate at the Stadium.

Our dearest daughter had long mentioned to me that she wanted to shop for new tops here.

She got her Aeropostle's tees.

The boys were engrossed at the Lego's. Heheh. Farhan was contented to get Lego Technic.

Happy kids.

Mommy did not feel like shopping today after 4 week-long roadtrip, but she longed for a good latte.

Finally, Nik Ai went for a car wash nearby our motel.

At night, we headed to downtown Minneapolis and…

… crossed the Mississippi River to the other side of the bridge to take picture of Minneapolis skyline.

After so many cities we have been to, my favorite is still Chicago.

Farhan claimed his camera setting was better than his Daddy ( he took the bottom picture) because the skin color was more natural.

It would be incomplete not visiting St Paul if we come to visit the Twin Cities. Hence, this picture with Minnesota State Capital. Minneapolis is the largest city in Minnesota which is adjacent to St Paul, the state capital. They are known as the Twin Cities.

nikai Just a sidenote.. we complained about why the I-35W to Minneapolis is closed and the long detour.. I just read somewhere that it was because a highway bridge collapsed last year! FYI only
