Last night, D and I were busy repacking our stuff to ensure everyone would be comfortable in the car for a long journey home, about eleven hours if nonstop.
Entering Wisconsin... but could only get this blur picture because I was looking hard for this welcome sign which was a bit hidden and dark.
We initially thought to just 'alas perut' with light food as we had plan to stop at halal restaurant in Milwaukee.
However, we ordered heavy stuff when we saw Long John Silver. Heheh. Oh yeah… these few days we have been eating out since our supplies had finished.
We noticed a lot of cheese factories along the way. No wonder Wisconsin is known as America's Dairyland
We purposely took the highway via Milwaukee as D read some good reviews for one of the Pakistani restaurant there. We reached Milwaukee..
It was very worthwhile to come here! We have not eaten naan for a year! So, you could imagine how hungrily we ate. We washed down the food with a nice thick "chai" or teh tarik, Pakistani style.

The final drive took 16 hours including stops... Well.. hope you guys enjoyed reading and following our trip!

Alhamdullillah and thank you for the amazing pictures and write-ups of the journey. So, what's the total mileage of the journey?

The car clocked about 8,000 miles and averaged 33 mpg. We could go 550 miles before filling up. It also had two oil changes, one tire rotation, one wash.

Just like Nik Ai's boss here said when he reported back for work... "Travelling is the best education children can get" I tend to agree, so the roadtrip was their 'summer school/camp' eh?!

You travelled for 28 days? Wow! That's a whole month! I will never be able to take that kind of leave! Sorry, I did not follow the whole trip. Had to pick and choose. Been a hectic month. Hugs!
