Weekly potluck @ Northwood

2009.06.16
Noemi started weekly summer potluck last week for Northwood IV central, near Ayu's house. She also invited some of her good friends here in Northwood IV north ;)

So this was our second time having lunch potluck with mostly ladies and kids around here. I brought fried mee hoon for this week.

We somehow had few varieties of rice and noodle this week and yet we had lots of dessert last week when I brought cake. Hee.. we all seemed to think alike on what to cook for potluck.

Reko (to the left most in the picture) made a very delicious salmon sushi this time round. I love it! Ohh.. she also gave some extra pieces for our family prior to potluck. Many thanks! She knew that we are sushi lover :)

Sarah went to pick up Qistina whose mom totally forgot about this potluck. Hahah!

But Ayu managed to quickly fix a jug of fruit cocktail drink for us :)

A lot of kids joined us this week as they were already on summer holidays.

Farhan-san with his Japanese buddy and his sister.

:)

Yeah... she made a nice potato Nepalese dish.

Smile!

Gimme five!

We will definitely miss this nice, safe and kids-friendly neighborhood with very helpful and dedicated community aides around like our friend Noemi.

I guess ladies can spend hours chatting and eating :P

Most probably this would be my last potluck I could attend as the next two weeks I'll be extremely busy bubble wrapping and packing our stuff to be transported to the storage.

Sarah entertained Qistina on her wagon ride with her teddy.

Aisyu is also Qistina's good buddy!

Having fun eh?

Noemi told me she loved cuddling her babies when they were small. She could do it for hours!!

That three month old Japanese baby is so cute ...

I just hope kids can still play and cycle safely outside in our new neighborhood in NJ.
