Kids' graduation gifts

2009.06.19
Due to their excellent performance at school for the past two years here, we strongly believe the kids need to be rewarded with something special that they like.

Farhan has been wanting to have this sort of handheld personal game console for many years, but it was always denied because D did not want to spoil the kids. When I recently asked him what he wanted for the graduation gift, he suggested Pokemon cards. But, I told him to think of something which was more significant than cards. He replied, "We're not that rich, Mommy!" Aww... I was so touched!

When D gave him green light to think big this time, he immediately said Nintendo DS Lite. Heheh. But D suggested a better one, Nintendo DSi, which comes with digital camera that can be incorporated into gameplay. Cool! Nevertheless, D made a deal with him which I can't reveal here. Hah!

Nintendo DSi

D promised the kids they will get their present on Thursday June 18, but the boys went out to buy this a day earlier. As a result, Farhan was 'tortured' to patiently wait for many hours till midnight. Heheh. Promise is a promise!

As for Sarah, she told us what she wanted long before the graduation ;). She is a music lover! We purchased her iPod online and it arrived a day later than the original expected arrival date. Sorry Sarah! But she did not seem to mind or probably she did not show it to us. A very good girl indeed. Heh!

iPod Nano... 4th generation

She chose purple but somehow the color was not reflected here in this picture. Yeah.. same color as Uncle Zan's ;)

So to our beloved kids, with the gift that you received, we really hope you will work harder and keep on performing in your studies. Lots of love from M and D.

Datinnikzaharah Congratulations to both of you for doing so well in school. Keep up the good work. Both of you deserve those gifts that your mummy and Daddy gave you. See how much you are loved. The only way to repay their love is to keep on working harder and keep on pleasing them and you will definitely be pleased with yourself later.

Zalmy Liza,
Congrats to the two kids. You must be so proud of them.
So whose genes? Yours or Nik's?
