Not far from the capitol, there's Sakakawea statue. Sakakawea was a significant name as part of Lewis and Clark expedition.

Carrying her infant son with her, she went on the expedition to help Lewis and Clark negotiate with the Indians. Spelling of her name has been the subject of debate, other common spellings are Sacagawea and Sacajawea.
