Day 32: Loading our moving truck

2009.07.31
Today was the day we had to load our Penske rental truck with the stuff from the storage so that tomorrow we could leave early in the morning.

That was our last breakfast at Panera Ann Arbor :(

Ayu and family joined us. Pity Ayu as she was still struggling using the crutches.

Sweet memory in Ann Arbor for keepsake!

Hopefully Qistina will always remember all of us!

She's so manja with Sarah.

Sarah already planned to play with Qistina all day long today while the boys were busy loading our stuff in to the truck.

I think Qistina's pictures occupied half of my iPhoto. Heh! ... she has been a good model for Sarah to brush up her photography skills.

By this time, the boys already left for Friday prayers and to pick up the Penske truck.

We chatted till Adzni came back from Friday prayers. Heheh! D and Farhan were still at Penske rental truck office and attended the second session of Friday prayers.

:)

Sarah followed Qistina home while I went to China market to buy some stuff for makan-makan. Anum offered to cook nasi lemak and Kandak was forced to cook his special ribs for us. Hah!

Wahh.... suami mithali!

At 3pm, the boys came and they all left for storage. Sorry, none of them brought camera to capture the hard work of loading our junk to the truck. Hee...

They spent a good two hours there, I think. Million thanks, guys!

The three of us had a great time here while waiting for the guys to come back. We helped Kak Deng preparing and eating cokodok. Hahah!

Unfortunately, Kak Deng had to leave early. Sob.. Sob.. Sob.. I could not force a fake smile and I hate goodbyes!

I feel so blessed to have great friends like Ayu and Kak Deng.

The kids joined me to walk Kak Deng to her car ...

... as they wanted to bid goodbye to HUGABUG too!

Awww... group hug! Thanks Sarah for taking all these pictures.

We really hope to meet Kak Deng again sometime in the future. You have such a great heart, Kak Deng!

D continued to BBQ the chicken and lamb chops...

... from the leftover meat that we had on Wednesday.

We all totally enjoyed Kandak's special ribs. Very delicious! This picture did not do justice to the finger-licking good ribs. Thank you very much, Kandak!

In between eating, I went to Alia's place to say goodbye as well as to pick up our goldfish. Thanks Alia and Fariz for keeping them alive while we were away ;). Alia's dad was so kind to fix the aquarium cabinet. Thank you very much!

Amy called that nite inviting us to stop by at their place. How I wish I had more than 24 hours for today!

Kak Fezah also invited us for tea at their house in Canton. We could not make it as the boys were busy loading the truck around that time. Sorry Kak Fezah and Abg Amir!

We somehow managed to drop by at Amy's around 10pm after picking up our fish. That late, huh?

Thanks Amy for the lovely dinner. I'm sorry that I could not spend more time there.

We were extremely exhausted but we felt great to be able to spend time with all these great people of Ann Arbor.

Many thanks everyone for helping us again and again!
