Around Portland, Maine

2009.10.13
[Continuation from previous entry]

Soon after we left Bailey's, we explored this Scarborough area looking for beach to touch the Atlantic Ocean. Heh!

Considering that we were in Maine and it was supposed to be much colder, the weather somehow was on our side for us to spend some time at the Scarborough Beach.

But of course, despite the beautiful weather, nobody was spotted swimming around this time of the year. :P.

Farhan, as expected, enjoyed this brief moment strolling along the beach, chasing birds and looking for shells and the like.

Hey, I don't want to get wet!

We were admiring those houses by the beach :P

Sarah enjoyed her photography under this bright sunlight.

Can we come again this place in the summer?

D then drove towards downtown and crossed Casco Bay Bridge to have a better view of Portland skyline.

Portland is the biggest city in Maine.

Sarah got excited with the blue sky!

That's what they use to catch lobsters.

What a lovely day!

Pictures turned out pretty, thank you Mr Sun :)

Happy kids!

That sailboat really helped beautifying our pictures, eh?

We have travelled from Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine; from Pacific Ocean to Atlantic Ocean.

Kids were hyper for a while, running and jumping!

I love to see them like this, as most of the time they are too busy arguing and fighting. Heh!

C'mon, let's go, we have a long journey ahead!

We needed to grab our lunch before heading back to Jersey.

We walked around downtown and saw a lot of people at this restaurant.

No, we did not want lobsters for lunch!

A nice place by this Old Port...

... listening to this guy :P

.. while waiting for what we ordered.

A quick lunch for us, clam burger, fish and chips, calamari rings and...

... clam chowder. Yum!

We then headed home and only arrived almost 10pm after some traffic jam here and there. I drove the car for few hours as D tried to finish his assignments :P.

It was indeed a nice fall getaway! Thanks D!
